Window Swap
window-swap.com
Open a new tab to see a random live or recorded window view from someone else home anywhere in the world.
WindowSwap lets you look out of a stranger's window. Each click opens a short video of a view somewhere in the world, such as a street, a garden, a mountain or a rooftop, recorded by a real person and shared with the community.
You can add your own window too. The result is a quiet, calm site that gained popularity during lockdowns and still works as a gentle break from the screen. There is no scrolling feed and no pressure, just views and a bit of ambient sound.
Why it is useful
A meditative experience during remote work — instead of looking at a blank wall, open a window into someone backyard in New Zealand or apartment view in Tokyo. The community-submitted videos feel intimate in a way that generic nature footage does not.
