Immich
immich.app
Self-hosted photo and video backup platform with mobile auto-upload — a privacy-focused, open-source alternative to Google Photos.
Why it is useful
Immich replicates Google Photos' core experience — automatic mobile backup, timeline view, face/object recognition, shared albums — while keeping every photo on infrastructure you control. It's under very active development and is one of the most complete self-hosted photo solutions available for anyone leaving Google Photos over storage costs or privacy concerns.
