Tracks all US federal legislation and congressional voting records, with bill passage predictions and email alerts for specific representatives.

Why it is useful

GovTrack makes congressional activity legible to non-specialists — bill summaries, vote records, and passage predictions are all free and updated in real time. The email alert system lets citizens monitor specific representatives' activity without watching C-SPAN.
