Near-real-time deforestation monitoring platform using satellite data to track forest cover change across every country and protected area.

Why it is useful

Global Forest Watch provides the data infrastructure for forest accountability — anyone can see weekly satellite alerts for deforestation in any area. The data powers journalism, litigation, and supply chain verification for companies with zero-deforestation commitments.
