Fabric
github.com/danielmiessler/fabric
An open-source AI augmentation framework by Daniel Miessler providing a library of curated prompt patterns for common tasks like summarizing, extracting insights, and writing — all runnable from the command line.
Why it is useful
The value is in the prompt library rather than the tool itself — patterns like extract_wisdom, summarize, and create_newsletter_entry represent genuinely good prompt engineering for specific tasks that would take time to replicate from scratch. Piping content through fabric patterns from the terminal is faster than opening a chat UI for repetitive document tasks.
