DB-Engines Ranking
db-engines.com/en/ranking
A monthly ranking of 400+ database management systems by popularity — based on job postings, Stack Overflow activity, Google search trends, and technical discussion frequency — with multi-year trend charts.
Why it is useful
The most comprehensive ongoing measure of database technology adoption. Useful when choosing a database (is this technology gaining or losing momentum?) or following the field. The trend graphs show multi-year adoption curves, making it easy to spot which databases are growing and which are in decline. The ranking methodology is transparent and covers specialized databases most lists ignore.
