A visual encyclopedia of art, with hundreds of thousands of works that you can browse by artist, movement, genre or period.

Why it is useful

Makes it easy to see how an art movement developed or how one artist's style changed over time. The browse-by-movement and genre pages are good for study, and for finding an artist you have never heard of.
