OldWeb.today runs old browser engines inside sandboxed containers, rendering archived web pages exactly as they appeared decades ago — including original visual bugs, broken layouts, and period-accurate fonts. It bridges the Wayback Machine screenshots with genuine browser behaviour.
Why it is useful
Static screenshots cannot capture the actual experience of early web constraints — the slow load times, the frame-based layouts, the blinking text. Clicking through a 1996 website inside a running Netscape 3 instance is genuine digital time travel that preserves computing heritage down to its original rendering quirks.
