Metafilter
metafilter.com
One of the oldest community blogs on the internet, with thoughtful long-form discussion since 1999.
Why it is useful
Metafilter represents a form of internet community that has almost entirely disappeared — slow, thoughtful, and moderated for quality rather than engagement. The Ask Metafilter section contains decades of expert crowd-sourced advice on almost every life situation.
