MapCrunch
mapcrunch.com
Random Google Street View explorer that drops you anywhere in the world.
MapCrunch drops you at a random place using Google Street View. Choose a country or region, press Go, and you land somewhere new, then look around as if you had arrived on foot. There are options to limit the area, a "view of the day" and a gallery of discoveries shared by visitors.
It is a fun way to see places you would never choose, and a basic training ground for geography guessing games. Coverage depends on Street View, so some areas of the world are sparse. Use the share option to send a view to friends.
Why it is useful
Useful for location scouting, creative inspiration, or discovering unfamiliar environments. Can reveal places you would never intentionally search.
