Why it is useful

The fastest way to add semantic search or RAG to a Python project — it installs as a pip package and runs in the same process as your app with no external service to manage. When you need to scale, it also runs as a standalone server. The developer experience is noticeably cleaner than alternatives that were designed for general vector search rather than AI applications specifically.
