Astral Codex Ten
astralcodexten.com
Scott Alexander's blog covering psychiatry, rationalism, AI, economics, and book reviews with characteristically careful reasoning and steel-manned opposing views.
Why it is useful
Astral Codex Ten applies rigorous probabilistic thinking to topics that usually get only opinion pieces. Alexander's ability to steel-man opposing views while still reaching conclusions is rare in public writing — the comment section is one of the best-moderated discussions online.
